AS1: Task 5: Understanding the Techniques of a Music Video

For this task, we were told to make a lip sync of Elton John's & Kiki Dee's duet song, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, with the intention of showing how well we understand editing techniques, and how well we can make our own lip sync video, using the song "Don't Go Breaking My Heart".

Overall, I feel as though the final product came out very well, the editing process took some time because of the amount of footage we had. In the filming process, it took us quite a few takes to get the footage and lip syncing perfectly, we also had the song playing in the background during filming, to help the actors remember their lines a bit better. We also did a few different shots, including further away shots of the two actors, and close up shots of both of them, all of which took a few takes to get perfect. I think that the editing of the video was good, however, it took some time to get perfect, as we had to make sure that the lip syncing matched the music perfectly, and in some places, this was more difficult than others. The lip syncing process overall was quite simple tho, matching the lip movement to the timing of the song, and then watching back over it to make sure that the lip syncing and lyrics matched up perfectly.
