AS2: Task 2: Analyse the artist

The we had chosen for our music video project is "Pieces of Eight" by the band Killing Jimmy. They are a punk band from Basildon, Essex. Their music is very fast paced, and they often play smaller venues throughout the county.

Some of the band's songs have piratical, and nautical themes to them. This includes the song we are using, as there are several references to pirates, and piratical themes throughout. For example, the title, Pieces of Eight is a reference to the spanish dollar, which was used in the golden age of piracy in the 1700's, and was worth 8 reales.
