AS1: Task 3: Editing to the beat

Editing To The Beat
In this task, we had to edit a video to fit in with a piece of music. We used Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to create a video for a group of animals, and cut it so their dancing fit the beat of the music.
The processes used during creation for the video were:

  • Cutting to the beat
  • Adding special effects
  • Using split screen

When editing to the beat, the speed of the song needs to be taken into account, as a faster song means that the pace of the editing would also have to be quicker to fit in time with the timing of the beat properly, and would be the same for if the song is also slower.
I personally think that the finished product was quite good, I think that it could've been longer, and that some of the parts could've been edited better in the future. These techniques may have been used by editors who wanted to make their videos seem more interesting, and show multiple shots at once, making the overall scene more interesting.
